The spring is beautiful here and we have been working in the yard. BEHOLD THE GLORY OF THE POND!:

It may look like a junky half wine barrel in a pile of weeds, but it isn't. Really. The picture on the right is the other half of the wine barrel planted with herbs. I keep going out and checking on the new plants for what seems like every two seconds to make sure they are still alive and healthy. They may die of smothering attention by yours truly.

And as you can probably tell, I am in the middle of a redesign. I am seriously thinking of doing something like typepad as I am getting tired of fiddling with everything.

Thanks for all of the wrist/ergonomic tips, a lot of people suggested I get a wacom tablet, which I already have. I must be using it more aggressively than most.

I am currently gathering ingredients to make Fig Focaccia with Gorgonzola. The only ingredient missing is the canned figs. I can't recall ever seeing canned figs, but I have a hunch they are in the canned fruit aisle in the section that has strange things like canned gooseberries or something.

I have been trying to sketch more in an attempt to prepare myself for the watercolor class. Actually, it's more for AFTER the watercolor class. Here are some heads:

The thing about drawing on the computer is that you can draw one eye and copy and paste it on the other side of the head and bank on the fact that they will be the same size and looking in the same direction for the most part. I think that has made me lazy in some respects. That and Ctrl + Z. I wish I could use Ctrl + Z in other parts of my life. Like yesterday when I spilled tomato sauce on my IVORY couch. UNDO! UNDO GODDAMMIT!!
